Job Description
SouthTech Preparatory Academy is seeking an innovative, hands-on educator to launch our new Career & Technical Education (CTE) Lab , a middle school exploratory program designed to expose students to high-demand career pathways while building essential employability skills. This project-based course introduces students to a variety of career fields through engaging, hands-on learning experiences. Students will explore industries such as forensic science, engineering and design, multimedia production, logistics and supply chain, transportation, construction, HVAC, automotive technology, manufacturing, entrepreneurship, and other skilled trades. Throughout the course, students will develop workplace readiness skills including communication, collaboration, critical thinking, problem solving, professionalism, leadership, time management, and career planning. The ideal candidate is passionate about career exploration, enjoys creating interactive learning experiences, and can inspire middle school students to discover their interests while connecting classroom learning to real-world careers. Instruction should align with Florida's Career and Technical Education frameworks, emphasizing career awareness, exploration, and employability skills while preparing students for future CTE pathways in high school.
