Job Description

Position Summary The Engineering Technician provides technical support to engineers and program teams in the development, testing, evaluation, maintenance, and sustainment of military systems, equipment, and platforms. The individual assists with data collection, configuration management, documentation, troubleshooting, laboratory operations, and technical analysis in support of Department of Defense (DoD) programs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide technical support for engineering projects involving hardware, software, mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering disciplines. Assist with the assembly, installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment and systems. Conduct testing and evaluation activities in laboratory, field, and operational environments. Collect, analyze, and document test data and technical information. Prepare technical reports, procedures, engineering change documentation, and status updates. Support configuration management processes, including tracking hardware, software, and technical documentation baselines. Maintain engineering records, drawings, specifications, and related technical data. Assist engineers with system integration, verification, validation, and certification activities. Support logistics, inventory management, and equipment accountability efforts. Participate in technical reviews, meetings, and program briefings. Ensure compliance with applicable DoD, military, and organizational standards, policies, and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned in support of program objectives. Education Requirements Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, Mechanical Technology, Computer Technology, or a related technical field; equivalent military or technical experience may be substituted
