The Engineering Technician supports manufacturing line operations in a cleanroom environment, working closely with engineers and production teams to ensure efficient, compliant, and uninterrupted production. This role emphasizes strong communication, coachability, and basic technical aptitude, with significant hands-on involvement on the production floor. It is a high-priority position with immediate hiring needs and strong potential for full-time conversion based on performance.Responsibilities:
- Support daily manufacturing line operations to ensure smooth production flow
- Collaborate with engineers and operators to troubleshoot and resolve process issues
- Follow work instructions, control plans, routing, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Perform basic troubleshooting, data collection, and process monitoring
- Assist in process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate documentation and support production records
- Work extensively on the production floor (approximately 60%) in a cleanroom environment using PPE
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards
Required Qualifications:
- Technical Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
- 0-5 years of manufacturing or technical experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and technical documentation
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and production flow
- Hands-on familiarity with basic tools such as multimeters and measurement instruments
- High reliability, accountability, and willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications:
- Internship, co-op, or hands-on manufacturing experience
- Exposure to lean manufacturing or process improvement methodologies
- Basic knowledge of root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques
- Experience in assembly, production, or technician roles
- Medical device industry experience
Salary:
The hourly rate for this position is competitive and based on experience.Benefits:
