Day In The Life Every day at Hubbell is different and you'll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you'll make a difference by: Setting up routine electrical and mechanical test equipment for the testing of wiring devices and/or components thereof. Building test fixtures and test equipment as requested by supervisor. Performing standards and special tests on wiring devices and/or components thereof. Recording the results and writing lab reports on the tests that were performed. Assisting certification agency representatives in the inspection and testing of wiring devices and their associated products. Assisting supervisor in maintenance of, repair of, calibration of the construction of test lab equipment. Performing related duties as requested by Supervisor, Engineering Test Lab. What will help you thrive in this role? High school graduate with two or more years of technical education or equivalent (required) Ability to read basic measuring instruments, simple blueprints, and simple schematics (required) 1-3 years of relevant experience Ability to read, write and understand basic technical English. Excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Proven time management skills and the ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks effectively. Exceptional judgment and common sense. Results-oriented with a track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment. Process improvement skills preferred.
