$28.02/hour; 37.5 hours/week
Closing Date:
Until Filled Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering technology OR an Associate's degree, vocational technical degree or specialized training in Civil Engineering or related field with five (5) years of experience in civil engineering or construction Valid South Carolina driver's license The Engineering Technician will work independently and as part of a team to perform a variety of engineering functions related to the City's utilities and infrastructure. Must be able to locate and mark existing City utility lines and assist in keeping utilities drawings and maps up to date for record files. Must be able to review site plans, Stormwater plans, elevation drawings and development plans for compliance with City codes. Must be able to monitor new construction to ensure that City standards and specifications are met and be able to review pay requests and verify field quantities for contract payment.
