Job Description

What to Expect In this role you will be a key technical member of a cross-functional Product & Applications Engineering team, with the mission to create the best energy products in the world. You will be at the intersection between Engineering Design, Testing, Sales, Service, and Installation teams. Scope of work will include electrical, and mechanical; then translating these into creative solutions to improve customer experience and drive product excellence. Ability to flexibly apply product expertise and technical reasoning to a variety of projects and processes is a must, along with excellent written and verbal communication. What You'll Do Design Residential & Industrial Energy Storage/Generation Products for the best installation experience Collaborate with engineering, business, and sales teams for product design and improvements Rapid prototyping and real-life testing to validate hardware design for the best possible installation experience Subject matter expert on how Tesla's Energy products would be installed in all applications and markets Installation champion of product development from concept, production, and installation/service What You'll Bring Hands-on engineering experience 3+ years Hands-on experience with electrical wiring, construction, or product development Hands-on project management and organization experience Hands-on experience building and making hardware Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals
