Role Summary Internship Term:

Summer 2026 Rivian internships are experiences optimized for student candidates.

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing cutting edge design for manufacturing tools into our existing workflow. You will work with other Electrical Engineers, PCB Designers, and Design Industrialization team members to gather requirements and feed that into the software implementation. Responsibilities Implement third party software tool for PCB Design for Manufacturing Align requirements with all parties, IT, ECAD (engineering computer aided drafting),Electrical Engineering, Design Industrialization Develop and implement design rules as an input to the software Create a process workflow that integrates with existing Rivian PCB Design process Keep Project on schedule and meet all milestones Qualifications Must be currently pursuing a bachelors, masters, or PhD degree at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign Actively pursuing a degree or one closely related in Electrical, Computer, or Industrial Engineering Experience in circuit board design Software development skills, preferred Must be enrolled in the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign Must be able to work out of our office in the Research Park. Must be available for 20 hours per week in the Fall and Spring and 40 hours in the summer. #LI-HH2 Pay Disclosure The salary range for this role is $25.00-40.00 per hour for Normal based applicants. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, and organizational needs.
