As a Principal Engineer Test in our Research & Development team, you'll have the opportunity to merge creativity with your technical expertise by shaping the future of technology, driving groundbreaking projects, and bringing new ideas to life. Are you in? Your Role Key responsibilities in your new role
- Develop ATE test packages for wafer probing, final production testing, and product characterization of Infineon's advanced digital multiphase controller and driver IC products
- Document test requirements and concepts, create detailed test plans, and develop effective test methods
- Collaborate with design and concept engineers to integrate Design for Testability (DfT) features into new products, ensuring high quality with cost-efficient testing
- Contribute to firmware development for testing, embedded test functions, and data processing, including implementation of built-in self-test (BIST) features
- Design test hardware using EDA tools, utilizing existing libraries for printed circuit board (PCB) templates and component symbols
- Develop test programs, convert ATPG test patterns, integrate with test equipment and hardware, and perform debugging and validation on ATE systems
- Document and release test packages for volume production, support silicon characterization and qualification processes
- Enhance test cost efficiency and improve quality of existing test solutions through method Your Profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics, or Computer Engineering
- Over 10 years of experience developing production test solutions for mixed-signal ICs or modules using Automated Test Equipment (ATE)
- Comprehensive understanding of electronic engineering principles, including analog and digital circuits, power devices, and high-speed signal integrity
- Proficient in PCB design using schematic capture tools such as Cadence Allegro
- Strong test-programming skills with experience in C/C++, Java, Visual Basic, embedded programming, LabVIEW, and scripting languages
- Hands-on experience with Advantest V93K, Teradyne J750, Ultra Flex, and Teradyne Eagle systems is highly regarded
- Expertise in design for testability and manufacturability (DfT, DfM),Built-In Self-Test (BIST), test firmware, and effective collaboration with design and product engineering teams to ensure early specification and validation of DfT
- Practical experience conducting bench electrical measurements using signal generators, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers, including bench test automation
- Familiarity with digital and analog IC design environments, pattern generation, and verification is advantageous
