Key Tasks Mechanical Design & Production Engineering
- Lead the mechanical design and layout of system cabinets, equipment racks, operator positions, consoles, and supporting infrastructure.
- Create and maintain rack elevation drawings, cabinet layouts, assembly drawings, mounting specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
- Design and optimize cable routing, mechanical packaging, cooling solutions, equipment placement, and serviceability considerations.
- Develop installation standards and best practices for production floor assembly.
- Verify mechanical designs meet environmental, ergonomic, maintenance, and customer requirements.
- Perform mechanical reviews for manufacturability, maintainability, transportation, and field installation considerations.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing personnel regarding custom mechanical components and fabrication requirements.
- Support product improvement initiatives focused on reducing build complexity, installation time, and production costs. Hardware & System Integration
- Lead integration of hardware, software, networking, and communication subsystems into complete operational VCS solutions.
- Configure and validate servers, networking equipment, storage systems, audio devices, operator workstations, and communication gateways.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system-level issues involving hardware, software, networking, audio, and mechanical interfaces.
- Develop and maintain integration plans, procedures, test plans, and verification methods. Technical Leadership
- Provide technical direction and mentorship to junior integration engineers and production technicians.
- Review engineering documentation, procedures, and build packages for technical accuracy.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to production workflows, quality, and system integration processes. Documentation & Compliance
- Generate and review system-level assembly documentation, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, network diagrams, and configuration records.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, configuration management processes, quality requirements, and customer specifications.
- Maintain accurate build records and support configuration audits.
- Support regulatory and customer compliance activities. Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
- 7+ years of experience in system integration, production engineering, manufacturing engineering, or technical system assembly environments.
- Strong mechanical engineering background with experience designing equipment cabinets, control consoles, rack-mounted systems, or similar electromechanical solutions.
- Experience developing mechanical drawings and production documentation.
- Hands-on experience integrating complex hardware and software systems.
- Strong understanding of electronics, power distribution, grounding, cabling, and equipment installation practices.
- Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lead technical activities while working in a fast-paced production environment.
