Job Description

Pcb Design Engineer Overview
  • Contribute to the design and development of complex PCB layouts for cutting-edge technology projects.
  • Work on high-speed digital, power, RF, and mixed-signal designs, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address design challenges and meet project milestones.
  • Generate comprehensive documentation packages for fabrication and assembly processes.
  • industry best practices for signal integrity, EMI mitigation, and thermal management.
  • Support DFM/DFT reviews and incorporate feedback efficiently to optimize designs.
  • Engage with vendors to resolve technical queries and ensure smooth production workflows.
  • Utilize advanced PCB design tools to achieve high-density layouts and controlled impedance routing.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
  • Develop PCB layouts from schematics, netlists, and engineering requirements with minimal oversight.
  • Perform component placement and routing for multilayer boards, ensuring high-density and controlled impedance designs.
  • Execute high-speed digital, power, RF, and mixed-signal layouts adhering to industry standards.
  • Generate complete fabrication and assembly documentation packages for production purposes.
  • Collaborate with engineers and manufacturing teams to address layout challenges effectively.
  • Interface with PCB fabrication and assembly vendors to resolve technical issues.
  • Support DFM/DFT reviews and incorporate feedback to improve design quality.
  • Ensure designs meet established milestones within compressed development schedules.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field.
  • 7+ years of PCB layout experience, with senior-level expertise preferred.
  • Proficiency in Cadence Allegro PCB Designer/Editor and structured release systems.
  • Strong understanding of IPC standards and PCB fabrication/assembly processes.
  • Experience with multilayer stackups, controlled impedance routing, and high-density layouts.
  • Preferred IPC CID or CID+ certification and expertise in RF layout and transmission line design.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to existing libraries, processes, and design standards.
