Job Description:
This Hardware Engineer role is a 12 Months Contract with a client located in New Albany OH (Hybrid - 3 Days onsite every week).
Pay Range:
$30/hr. - $35/hr. on W2. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Required Skills 1-3+ years' experience deploying and maintaining complex data center environments (new facility, major facility renovations/expansions) Understanding of indoor/outdoor cable plants, including copper cabling, long range/short range fiber optic cabling Knowledge of information technology infrastructure components (LAN/WAN/SAN, firewalls, Wintel/Lintel/UNIX servers, storage, roll-on equipment, wireless, DAS) Knowledge of EIA/TIA, IEEE, NEC, and ISO standards relating to data centers and structured cabling Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal team members and external vendors Must be a team player and self-starter Strong documentation skills to capture architecture details, procedures, and other relevant data Strong verbal and written communication skills Bachelors degree in CS/CIS/Network/Telecommunications or related field or equivalent work experience Ideal Candidate Data center and/or networking industry certifications preferred 3-5+ years' experience designing, deploying and maintaining complex data center environments (new facility, major facility renovations/expansions) Understanding of indoor/outdoor cable plants, including copper cabling, long range/short range fiber optic cabling Knowledge of information technology infrastructure components (LAN/WAN/SAN, firewalls, Wintel/Lintel/UNIX servers, storage, roll-on equipment, wireless, DAS) Knowledge of EIA/TIA, IEEE, NEC, and ISO standards relating to data centers and structured cabling Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal team members and external vendors Must be a team player and self-starter Strong documentation skills to capture architecture details, procedures, and other relevant data Strong verbal and written communication skills Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, an EAP program, commuter benefits, and a 401K plan.
