Hardware Design Engineer (PCB DESIGN)

Job Description

Job Summary As a Hardware Design Engineer (PCB Design), you'll develop and verify printed circuit board (PCB) designs for electronic hardware and integrated systems. You'll move designs from requirements and schematics through simulation, testing, debugging, and manufacturing readiness.
Your impact:
Reliable, well-verified hardware helps engineering and manufacturing teams build systems that perform as intended. Duties Create PCB layouts, circuit designs, electrical schematics, and system designs using computer-aided design (CAD) software; coordinate with mechanical engineering on fit and integration. Apply signal processing, communications systems, control systems, and electrical systems knowledge to hardware for systems-on-chip (SoC), field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), ARM-based platforms, and firmware. Use simulation tools, MATLAB, Simulink, Python, C++, SystemVerilog, Perl, or other scripting and programming tools as appropriate for design and verification. Conduct engineering testing, soldering, surface-mount technology (SMT) work, debugging, and root cause analysis with oscilloscopes, ohmmeters, and vision inspection systems. Support project scheduling, manufacturing, automation, industrial automation, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and system development verification. Experience Electrical engineering, electronics design, PCB design, design engineering, electrical system design, or related electrical experience. Experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role is relevant; demonstrate engineering troubleshooting and mechanical knowledge. Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks, electrical schematic design, and schematics is useful; not every tool is required. Knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70 compliance, and electrical building codes is preferred where applicable. Exposure to quantum engineering, Arduino, and engineering testing or simulation tools is a plus.
