PCB Assembly Design - Creating Footprints and Schematic Symbols Position Summary Join a focused engineering team developing highly complex, dense, rugged, and secure electronic packaging solutions supporting our nation's warfighters and first responders. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining the company's global electronics component library using the Cadence toolset . As part of the Global Engineering Services team, you will support a diverse group of engineers across the U.S. and internationally. The role focuses heavily on creating PCB footprints and schematic symbols , interpreting component datasheets and mechanical drawings, maintaining library accuracy, and supporting engineers throughout the PCB design process. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Create and maintain PCB footprints and schematic symbols using tools such as Cadence Allegro and System Capture . Create PCB footprints by interpreting electronic component datasheets and application notes. Build accurate schematic symbols for use in schematic development. Provide electrical engineers with properly developed and validated symbols and footprints. Develop and maintain the company's global electronics component library. Support and maintain the library revision control system. Troubleshoot library-related issues and provide technical support to the engineering community. Collaborate with engineers across multiple U.S. and international time zones. Ensure component library data is accurate, consistent, and properly maintained. Minimum Qualifications Experience creating schematic symbols and PCB footprints . Familiarity with electronic component datasheets and application notes. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings. Experience with electronic component or PCB library management. Excellent math skills. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced engineering services environment supporting multiple projects and time zones. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Cadence Allegro . Experience with Cadence System Capture . Knowledge of Cadence Pulse . Experience with AutoCAD .
