Job Title:
FPGA Engineer Job Description We are seeking an FPGA Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and deployment of FPGA-based products. This position is open to candidates with 7-10 years of experience, focusing on RTL design, FPGA development, simulation, verification, timing closure, and product development support. The role involves collaboration with hardware engineers, embedded software engineers, and test engineers. Responsibilities Design and develop FPGA-based products with a focus on RTL design, FPGA development, and simulation. Collaborate with hardware, embedded software, and test engineers to ensure seamless product development. Perform simulation and verification to validate designs before hardware deployment. Achieve timing closure on high-speed FPGA designs through timing analysis and optimization. Provide product development support and engage in lab debugging and troubleshooting. Essential Skills Significant hands-on experience in FPGA design, with a proven track record of developing and delivering FPGA designs into production. Daily hands-on RTL coding experience, with a strong preference for VHDL, though Verilog is also acceptable. Proven experience in achieving timing closure on higher-speed FPGA designs through timing analysis and optimization. Experience in FPGA simulation and verification to validate designs prior to hardware deployment. Familiarity with Xilinx FPGA family is preferred, but experience with Microchip and Intel/Altera is also valuable. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with automation and scripting using Python and TCL to enhance FPGA build flows and development efficiency. Strong troubleshooting and lab debugging skills at the board level. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newtown, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $67.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
