Embedded Hardware Engineer or PCB Engineer (Schematic Design). Client is converting to Xpedition PADS. Need someone with experience on Xpedition tool. Mentor Pads or Expedition Pads schematic design expertise for PCB Design is the Key ask. Candidates can be from Electrical or Electronics background. Job Summary The Engineer role focuses on designing and developing logic and control circuits for embedded circuit boards. Responsibilities include schematic capture, PCB layout collaboration with vendors, prototyping, testing, and debugging to deliver reliable electronic products. The engineer will create new designs or modify existing ones to meet requirements and ensure compliance. The role requires initiative, minimal supervision, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, with clear communication of technical matters to stakeholders. Duties and Responsibilities Design and develop analog/digital circuit schematics using Mentor PADS Select components based on requirements, cost, and availability Maintain technical documentation (BOMs, schematics, test reports, revisions) Collaborate with PCB layout engineers on signal integrity, thermal performance, manufacturability Develop test procedures and validate performance via simulation, prototyping, lab testing Work with firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams for integration Support board bring-up, debugging, and validation throughout development Report project progress to management Interface with vendors and manufacturers for PCB fabrication/assembly Test systems and make design changes as needed Troubleshoot circuit-level and system-level issues Travel up to 10% Required Skills and Abilities Proficiency in Mentor PADS and SAP Strong knowledge of components, circuit theory, signal processing, power systems Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, etc. Familiarity with high-speed digital, power management, mixed-signal circuits (plus) Knowledge of standards: NFPA, NEC, UL/cUL, CSA, IEC/CE Willingness to learn new technologies Strong communication and collaboration skills Experience in multi-functional teams Proven PCB design experience Education and Experience Qualifications BS degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or similar
