Onsite Salary:
$70,000-$90,000 Job Overview Our client is looking for an experienced PCB Designer to help develop new electronic products and support existing designs. In this role, you'll create schematics, design PCB layouts, manage ECAD libraries, and prepare manufacturing documentation. You'll work closely with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and test engineers to take products from design through prototype, validation, and production. What You'll Be Doing Create and update electronic schematics using OrCAD Capture and Altium Designer. Design complex multilayer PCBs for analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power applications. Convert legacy PADS and OrCAD designs into Altium Designer. Create and maintain ECAD libraries, including symbols, footprints, 3D models, and component data. Develop PCB stackups with consideration for signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, thermal performance, and manufacturability. Perform electrical rule checks (ERC) and design rule checks (DRC). Create manufacturing documentation, including Gerber/ODB++ files, fabrication and assembly drawings, drill files, pick-and-place files, and BOMs. Work with electrical engineers on component selection, schematics, and PCB layout. Partner with mechanical engineers to ensure proper enclosure fit and connector alignment. Support prototypes, engineering validation, debugging, and production releases. Work with PCB fabrication and assembly vendors to resolve manufacturing issues. Participate in engineering change orders and continuous product improvements. What You Must Have Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of ECAD design experience.
Strong experience with:
OrCAD Capture PADS Professional / PADS Layout Altium Designer Experience with both schematic capture and PCB layout. Experience designing 4-20 layer PCBs. Experience with mixed-signal, precision analog, embedded digital, high-current, or power electronics designs. Understanding of PCB fabrication and assembly processes. Knowledge of IPC standards and DFM, DFA, and DFT principles. Ability to create complete manufacturing release packages.
