Your Team, Your Impact The ASIC Business Unit in Marvell performs hardware validation of customer ASICs in leading edge silicon technologies. The team defines and develops test requirements used in the manufacture of Marvell ASIC devices. Through the hardware evaluation of customer designs, engineers on this team are exposed to several areas of the ASIC business and develop a comprehensive understanding of design, process, and ASIC methodology. The team serves a vital role in diagnosing circuit issues and guiding the ASIC development teams through problem resolution. In this position, candidates will support the development of the ASIC lab which is an environment open to free thinking and creative engineering. As a member of this dynamic team, candidates will be responsible for creating lab test setups, characterizing circuits, analyzing data, creating unique scripts, coding, and assisting in the resolution of circuit issues.
What You Can Expect Job Responsibilities:
Develop lab front-end-hardware: create printed circuit board specialized hardware solutions to enable lab-based testing. Develop unique mechanical and thermal interfaces and supporting hardware for product characterization. Develop lab test solutions: enhance the lab's infrastructure by creating new hardware solutions to provide new testing capabilities and compliance with silicon requirements. Ensure quality and performance: develop test solutions based on product application conditions, IP capabilities, design timing margins, and process technology specifications. Refine these solutions through extensive ATE and lab characterization and customer system feedback. Identify and address faults: participate in hardware validation, resolve board issues and identify areas for improvement.Collaboration:
collaborate with design, DFT and test engineering teams to define DFT requirements and translate them into lab-based front-end-hardware solutions. Develop an understanding of the ASIC characterization and hardware validation process. What We're Looking For Test Solutions Engineering (TSE) plays a central role in Marvell, ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our Marvell Custom Silicon products. This role begins early in the design process and is central to enabling the rapid production ramps and demands of our hyper-scaler customers.Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate MUST have a BS/MS degree in EE/CS or related technical field(s). 1-3 years of previous experience in printed circuit board design/fabrication, ASIC or Custom Product test, development, or product characterization. Experience with lab equipment and its use - power supplies, oscilloscopes, and meters. Programming Skills in C/C++/Python or related language Good written and verbal communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:
1-3 years prior experience in printed circuit board development Previous experience in ASIC or Custom Silicon development Experience in semiconductor product validation, test, quality & reliability, or DFT.Skills and Experience:
Experience in developing printed circuit boards, including board simulation. Experience using scripts to perform engineering analysis and automation. Proficiency using peripheral equipment in a lab setting to perform characterization. Excellent collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams. Expected Base Pay Range (USD) 109,400 - 161,950, $ per annum The successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
