Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer

BR+A is seeking an experienced Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer for our Los Angeles, CA office. This role will be responsible for designing Fire Protection and Plumbing systems for a variety of projects and other tasks such as performing field verification and take-offs of existing systems for renovation projects, coordinating with other disciplines, overseeing deliverables to and from clients, and developing hydraulic calculations for systems. The ideal candidate should have the following skills:

Experience designing Fire Protection and Plumbing systems for Healthcare, Higher Education, and Laboratory projectsProficient in Auto CAD and RevitFamiliar with specification writingGood understanding of engineering concepts, design, and spatial requirementsAble to think three-dimensionallyThorough knowledge of CA plumbing code, model codes and NFPAKnowledge of Fire Protection systems including wet, dry and specialty systemsUnderstand work planning and managing the design process to the available hours in the work planCapable of meeting and working with clients, owners, and contractorsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsTaking ownership of assignments, working both independently and as part of the project teamA positive attitude, results-driven and team-orientedAble to manage time to meet deadlines

Position Requirements:

Salary Range for 8-10 years of experience: $110,000. 135,000 annually.
