Job Description

Job Title:
EH&S Specialist Job Description As an EH&S Specialist, you will lead audits, inspections, and investigations while coordinating resolutions to safety and environmental issues. You will work closely with management to facilitate risk management decisions and develop Lockout/Tagout Procedures. Your role will involve coordinating and monitoring the Contractor Safety Program, conducting regular walkthroughs, and coaching employees to ensure a safe workplace. Responsibilities Conduct environmental, health, and safety trainings to enhance employee knowledge of regulations. Perform hazard assessments and ergonomic evaluations. Review new chemicals, processes, and equipment using Management Change. Drive thorough investigations for incidents and accidents, ensuring timely corrective actions. Support non-routine work permitting and manage the SDS Data Base and chemical inventory. Support SPCC, air emissions, wastewater, and stormwater testing, monitoring, and reporting. Manage hazardous and medical waste programs, including documentation, inspections, and disposal. Support
ISO14001
implementation and identify continuous improvement opportunities. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Safety Management, or a Life Science field. 2+ years of experience in Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS). Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910. High level of organizational and analytical skills. Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior wastewater testing experience preferred. Experience in GMP, GLP, or FDA-regulated environments is highly preferred. Ability to work independently, be self-motivated, and be an effective team player. Work Environment This position operates in a business casual and clean room environment with a standard 40-hour work week from Monday to Friday, with some flexibility in hours. The workplace encourages a professional yet relaxed atmosphere, allowing for optimal productivity and collaboration. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
