Full-Time | Direct Hire | Onsite MS Companies is seeking an EH&S Specialist to support a manufacturing operation in Springfield, OH. This position is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of environmental, health, safety, security, and regulatory compliance programs while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate has experience supporting safety initiatives within a manufacturing environment and possesses strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, industrial safety, workers' compensation, and environmental compliance. This individual will work cross-functionally to promote a safe workplace, reduce risk, and drive continuous improvement in EH&S programs. Required Skills & Qualifications Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum 3 years of experience in Environmental Health & Safety or a related manufacturing safety role Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and federal, state, and local safety regulations Experience developing, implementing, and enforcing workplace safety programs Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to train employees at all organizational levels Experience conducting safety investigations, risk assessments, and corrective action planning Ability to maintain safety records, documentation, and compliance reporting Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship Preferred Skills & Qualifications Nice-to-have qualifications that would make a candidate more competitive: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field Manufacturing industry experience Experience managing workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programs Knowledge of industrial hygiene, chemical management, and fire safety programs Experience developing and delivering employee safety training programs Familiarity with regulatory audits and compliance inspections Experience developing safety policies, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives Day-to-Day Responsibilities Assist in developing and implementing environmental, health, safety, security, and regulatory compliance programs Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations Coordinate new hire safety orientation, OSHA training, and ongoing employee safety training programs Support workers' compensation administration, claims management, and return-to-work activities Monitor workplace safety performance and identify opportunities to reduce risk and improve compliance Conduct safety inspections, audits, investigations, and recommend corrective actions Assist with developing and updating company safety policies and procedures Stay informed on regulatory changes and communicate updates to leadership Partner with operations and security teams to promote a safe work environment Maintain safety documentation, reports, and regulatory records Perform additional EH&S-related responsibilities as assigned INDQSS3
