The Life Safety intern will be exposed to a wide variety of fire alarm and fire protection systems aspects with broad roles and responsibilities to include: assisting engineers, CAD design support, data analysis, documentation, project coordination, fieldwork assistance, software proficiency, safety compliance, research and development support. Responsibilities Life Safety intern will have various responsibilities aimed at providing them with valuable exposure to the engineering field. This may involve supporting engineers in their projects by conducting research, preparing reports, and assisting with technical tasks. The intern could also assist in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tasks, such as creating drawings, sketches, or models, working under supervision to gain practical skills. Additionally, responsibilities may include data analysis, documentation tasks like organizing project specifications and reports, as well as helping with project coordination by managing timelines and communication between team members. The intern may also have the opportunity to accompany engineers on field visits, inspections, or testing activities to gain hands-on experience. Learning engineering software tools, ensuring safety compliance, and contributing to research and development projects are also vital aspects of the role. Moreover, engagement in learning opportunities, such as attending engineering meetings and training sessions, can further enhance the intern's understanding of the industry. Professional communication with team members, clients, and vendors is essential, as well as showcasing problem-solving skills and contributing innovative ideas to engineering projects. Through these varied responsibilities, the intern can develop technical skills, gain industry insights, and contribute meaningfully to the company's projects. This position is for high school students interested in pursuing an internship. Qualifications Qualifications Interest in engineering concepts
A solid academic background in subjects like mathematics and physics, effective communication skills for collaborating with team members
Basic computer proficiency with a willingness to learn engineering software

Professionalism in handling internship responsibilities
Currently pursuing a high school degree or equivalent Abilities Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time

Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard
