    Overview:
    ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Licensing Engineer II will provide regulatory and technical support for station initiatives by interfacing with engineering teams, vendors, industry peers, and regulators. The role delivers assigned licensing and environmental tasks using established processes, identifies and resolves nuclear safety and regulatory issues, and offers strategic guidance on project performance. This position represents the organization with regulatory bodies and industry groups, supports environmental reviews and site coordination, and collaborates with internal and external experts while keeping management informed of applicable policies, rules, and standards.

    This full-time position is located in Richland, WA.
    Pay rate:
    $43.95 - $63.17

          • Provide regulatory support for significant station initiatives and objectives
          • Interface with Engineering Projects, plant organizations, vendors, industry peers, and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission
          • Deliver regulatory and technical support for assigned tasks following established processes
          • Consult with Energy Services & Development (ES&D) management to identify, address, and resolve nuclear safety, licensing, and regulatory issues
          • Provide strategic guidance and recommendations related to regulatory and environmental project performance
          • Represent with applicable regulators, industry work groups, workshops, and conferences
          • Support environmental review needs, including site visits and coordination on licensing and environmental process issues
          • Collaborate with internal and external experts in licensing and environmental laws
          • Keep ES&D management informed of current licensing and environmental policies, rules, and standards
          Requirements:
          • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university
          • Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience in a technical environment, including at least 2 years in a Department of Energy or Nuclear Regulatory Commission regulated nuclear environment
          • OR Professional Engineer (PE) license with at least 5 years of engineering experience in a technical environment, including at least 2 years in a DOE or NRC regulated nuclear environment
          • Knowledge of advanced engineering techniques, practices, theories, and methods to solve moderately complex problems
          • Ability to apply engineering principles outside of specialty area and train others on Regulatory Affairs topics
          • Ability to perform moderately complex tasks with a moderate level of independence
          • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products
          • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with non technical audiences Work sponsorship is not available at this time.
