Job Description

Title:
Industrial Engineer - (On-site)
Location:
Irondale, AL Salary:
$55,000-$65,000 Vaco is assisting a manufacturing company identify a highly motivated and innovative Industrial Engineer to optimize processes and drive operational excellence across their organization. This role combines elements of industrial engineering and continuous improvement to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and ensure seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze workflows, production methods, and operations to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains. Lead initiatives to implement Lean principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other process improvement strategies. Collaborate with teams to design systems that improve production layouts, reduce costs, and enhance safety. Perform time studies, capacity planning, and resource utilization analyses. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of improvements. Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions for recurring issues. Provide training and support for employees in adopting new processes and tools. Foster a culture of continuous improvement through engagement and effective communication.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. 1-3 years of proven experience in industrial engineering and/or process improvement roles. Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies. Proficiency in data analysis tools, simulation software, and workflow modeling. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively across teams.

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
