Job Description

Position Summary:
The Jr. Production Engineer is in charge of keeping the manufacturing process successful and stable. The Jr. Production Engineer is required to oversee all production processes in order to ensure the company provides our customers with a product of the highest quality.
Key Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but not limited to the following: Monitors and oversees daily production processes, ensuring adherence to Company SOPs and consistent product quality. Oversees the balance of raw materials, consumables, and end-product to support uninterrupted production. Coordinates with Purchasing, Warehouse, and vendors to ensure timely material availability, verifying quality documentation and flagging supply issues to prevent delays. Schedules and supports preventive maintenance plans for production equipment, monitoring performance and escalating anomalies to minimize unplanned downtime. Troubleshoots abnormal issues and resolves manufacturing-related problems, including customer complaints, to maintain process stability. Responds promptly to emergency situations to protect personnel, equipment, and production continuity. Provides daily production reports and records, and tracks and reports operator performance to the Section Manager. Reviews, validates, and updates engineering documentation as required to reflect current process and equipment status. Confirms engineering requirements and requests corresponding quotes from vendors. Prepares purchasing reports in accordance with Company policy and standard practices. Participates in engineering discussions and meetings, contributing technical input as needed. Provides training, guidance, and mentorship to production operators and technicians to support their development and collective production goals. Communicates and collaborates with all related departments, vendors, and contractors to support production objectives. Actively drives cross-functional and team-oriented collaboration, reporting directly to the Section Manager while supervising and supporting on-site technicians and operators. Drives continuous improvement by proactively identifying, proposing, and executing initiatives that enhance manufacturing processes, operating efficiency, and workplace EHS/5S standards. Completes tasks and projects as assigned by management.
Required/Preferred Skills and Experience:
1-3 years of working experience in the same or related position is required. Possess a Chemical Engineering or Engineering-related bachelor's degree is preferred. Minimum Associate degree in Chemical Engineering or Engineering related subject is required. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Illustrates professional patience in order to fully communicate and discern requirements from managers. Possess positive, and friendly attitude to maintain a positive work environment. Basic to moderate computer skills including use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. are required. Willingness to learn and be trained in new skills as per Company's request. Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin and English is preferred (ability to effectively communicate and coordinate technical documentation with international and cross-functional teams). Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and manufacturing data analysis is strongly preferred. Prior working experience in chemical processing plants or the semiconductor industry is highly preferred. Familiarity with or hands-on audit experience in ISO management systems (such as
ISO 9001, ISO
14001, and
ISO 45001
) is preferred.
