We're creating an entirely new way to solve the most ubiquitous problem in industry - moving and storing material. We're applying robotics and distributed software to create a new class of product for this $1T market. We're focused on the supply chain industry first. The industry is in a massive bind with the continued growth of e-commerce, sharp rise in costs, and supply chain disruptions. What has been a "sleepy" industry for decades is now at the epicenter of sustaining the global economy. About the role Mytra is excited to grow our manufacturing footprint from our little warehouse, prototype stall build into a proper, industrialized manufacturing operation — and we need an experienced and energetic manufacturing engineering team to do it! Our team is focused on fast iteration and learning, so you'll not only have the opportunity to have your designs built quickly, test them, and improve our product and teams, but also be a part of bringing a concept to full-scale mass production. As an Industrial Engineer, you'll develop the process, equipment, and factory that produces our bots and structures at scale. Our team works closely with hardware engineering, supply chain, quality, and testing teams to prototype, productionise and deploy manufacturing solutions that help our business grow and meet the exceptional customer demand we have. What you'll do: Designing and deploying the machine that builds the machine Evaluate the design and develop manufacturing build processes for robotic hardware Calculate, simulate, and test a factory flow that operates at scale; incorporating cross functional metrics and forecasted variability Plan and design manufacturing layouts and facilities for assembly and fabrication of robotic systems and structures Develop and deploy workflows to propagate and maintain a manufacturing execution system (MES) Design and oversee the procurement and installation of new equipment Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and delays to achieve our scaled ramp Brainstorm, justify, and champion simultaneous DFx projects designed to enhance the efficiency of product assembly and manufacturing Work with suppliers to advise and develop various manufacturing technologies; including stamping, welding, assembly and plastics processing Ideal Candidates +7 years practical experience in manufacturing: you're very comfortable with design for manufacturing, including mechanical, electrical and robotics integration You have experience with designing and deploying semi-automated assembly lines or other manufacturing equipment and systems You are able to manage large information data sets and conduct process analysis to ensure we can achieve our scaling goals CAD software: OnShape or Creo for part design, AutoCAD or similar for layout planning, FlexSim or Tecnomatix for process simulation Uncertainty isn't scary, and you're willing to realize mistakes and pivot You can convey complex ideas and technical concepts to a diverse audience, including technicians and associates building the product Strong project management skills and ability to motivate colleagues in order to reach ambitious goals Nice to have: Undergraduate Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent Experience bringing a product from concept to mass-production Experience laying out a factory from scratch Lean or Six Sigma professional certification
