This position will support the production operations team at Santa Barbara Focalplane. What You Will Be Doing You will be providing industrial engineering support through capacity modeling, standards development, factory performance measurement and visualization, and improvement projects. This position also includes projects such as simulation modeling, factory layouts, facility expansion, MES development, Lean Six Sigma, and facilitating continuous improvement activities. This position will report directly to the site Operations Engineering manager. For a level 2, we typically look for a Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 3 years of professional experience; or 1 year of professional experience with a related Masters degree, or equivalent experience/combined education. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other Engineering disciplines. Experience with discrete event simulation modeling, machine and labor capacity analysis, or continuous improvement projects. Must be a US Citizen due to special access requirements. Desired Skills Proficiency with discrete event simulation modeling such as Simio (preferred), Process Simulator, or AnyLogic. Proficiency with capacity modeling and analysis such as equipment/machine utilization, tool rate analysis, max rate analysis, or throughput improvement. Proficiency with continuous improvement initiatives such as cost reduction, HPU savings, schedule improvement, or quality/yield improvement using tools such as kaizen, value stream mapping, PFMEA, 5 Whys, or Fishbone diagrams. Trained in Lean Six Sigma tools and practices, and experience using statistical analysis. Experience with SAP and Apriso. Experience with
SAP HANA, MS
SQL, MySQL, or related database systems. Experience with Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Python, or Confluence. Ability to effectively communicate with data, data reporting, and data visualizations.
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range:

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
