What to Expect Tesla is seeking a self-motivated Process Engineer to ensure continuous production quality and enable world-class manufacturing of Tesla'scutting-edgehumanoid AI robot. This is an exciting opportunity to make a profound impactininnovation of the humanoid bot manufacturing space. Tesla is a demanding and fast-paced environment where you will work on a critical subsystem of the Optimus architecture. The successful Process Engineer will work with cross-functional teams to aggressively ramp the Optimus to full-scale production and beyond. This individual will develop robust operational processes togreatly improveefficiency and quality in Bot manufacturing. This includes analysis of yield, cycle time, and process capability. The engineer willleveragelean manufacturing principles, poke yoke fixtures, data visualization, material flow, andpossessan exceptional ability to root cause based on first principles. They willidentifytrends and signals in process data to allow rapid generational leaps in Bot manufacturability and rate. This individual is exceptional at communication through data, with a demonstrated ability todeleteand simplify complex process steps. What You'll Do
Define and implement standardized manufacturing processes
Create and maintain standard work and process documentation utilizing standard templates, software, and methods within 24 hours of process changes
Create and maintain standard work generated from trials and changes initiated by Part Introduction (NPI), tooling alterations, workstation design, and Industrial Engineering
Ensure Production understanding and capability to complete processes as documented
Ensure standard work is posted and/or readily available to production staff at each operation
Perform and document standard work audits for content and adherence to sequence limiters within the first half of each financial quarter What You'll Bring
Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physical Science, or equivalent experience
Ability to derive data-supported root causes and propose strong countermeasures
Tableau, R-studio, Minitab, and/or JMP experience preferred
Must be able to pull datausingefficient SQL queries, and in the absence of available databases, must be hands on in gathering critical data as systems develop in parallel
Exceptional problem-solving skills and an aptitude for learning systems quickly, capacity for managing simultaneous activities and challenges
Demonstratedexperience in ramping a manufacturing line
Proven history of innovation and drive to do things better, cheaper, faster in alignment with Tesla's aggressive approach to ramping production lines
Desired Manufacturing Skillsets - Ignition Automation experience, familiarity with two-part adhesives, Atlas-Copco fastener rundowntracesand quality detection methods
Additive manufacturing and CADstronglypreferred
Familiarity in Vision inspection systems preferred, such as Keyence 2D image inspection and profilometry Compensation and Benefits

Expected Compensation
$75,600 - $162,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
