ABOUT THE ROLE ASC
Process Systems is looking for an Electrical Engineer who's excited to design and bring custom electrical systems to life for large-scale aerospace manufacturing equipment. This is a hands-on role where you'll work on everything from AutoCAD designs and system upgrades to project coordination and in-house testing, while collaborating with teams across engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and upgrade electrical systems for custom process equipment. Generate design approval and fabrication level drawings using AutoCad. Create Bill of Material utilizing OMS data base, and coordinate with Purchasing department for procurement of materials for assigned projects. Generate and update project schedules and design documents for assigned projects using various software packages including MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access. Track project schedules and contract specifications to assure adherence to customer- and company- mandates. Communicate with customers via e-mail and telephone regarding product design and schedule. Evaluate existing products for possible design improvements, cost efficiency, and reliability. Expected to demonstrate compatibility with ASC's stated Team Values that include working safely, having a positive attitude, leading by example, showing an eagerness to learn, being a team player, working efficiently, and focusing on producing quality work.
REQUIREMENTS
Requires Bachelor's degree or technical degree as well as a minimum of 1 year work experience in related field. GPA of minimum 3.0. Ability to clearly communicate with management and co-workers as well as customers and vendors. Regular use of computer equipment, telephone and e-mail for communication is required. Sitting for extended periods is common. Good knowledge of common office equipment such as computer, calculator, fax machines, etc is needed. Good reasoning ability to solve a wide range of engineering problems and ability to apply statistical calculations, algebra, linear equations and other analytics is necessary.
