- The Gogo Quality Engineer is a key link in the performance of our product throughout its entire life cycle.
COME ON BOARD THE GOGO QUALITY TEAM!
How will you make a difference? Perform onsite and remote audits of potential new and existing suppliers to evaluate suitability for current and future programs and remain compliant to AS9100 requirements Work alongside internal and external teams to complete initial product conformity on new programs/products Collaborate with the supply chain team to develop productive supplier relationships with key suppliers Review and approve Engineering Change Orders (ECO) and submit Engineering Change Requests (ECR) as required and recommend internal and/or vendor design changes to improve quality and reliability. Analyze product performance, issue corrective actions as needed (supplier and internal), and utilize the relationships created within the supply chain and other cross functional teams to manage to completion Support Failure Review Board (FRB), Field Product Quality (FPQ), and Corrective Action Board (CAB) meetings to enhance product and service performance. Create, review, and approve supplier and internal First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR's) Manage quality records within Gogo's Quality Management System software to ensure data integrity Complete the AS9100 Lead Auditor certification and perform internal audits on a quarterly basis along with following up to ensure systemic processes are corrected Work with cross functional teams including Engineering, Program Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Configuration Management, Legal, and Operations in support of continuous improvement initiatives Support and implement strategic initiatives around improved product quality performance and provide leadership in identifying opportunities and delivering solutions for improvements of metrics Perform stock sweeps to contain and quarantine non-conforming product in inventory Manage all RMA product to ensure repeat issues do not propagate Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline 5+ years of experience relevant to quality engineering in the aviation/aerospace industry Ability to travel approximately 10-30% domestically and internationally to support supply chain quality Required Skills, Talents, & Experience Familiarity with AS9100 Quality Management System requirements Proficient in AS9102 requirements and FAIR analysis and creation Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics (mechanical and electrical) with a firm grasp on GD&T Excellent communication and collaborative skills Experience with Microsoft office, SharePoint, and QMS software for defect tracking and trending Preferred Skills, Talents, & Experience Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher belt) or other certification demonstrating statistical problem-solving aptitude Experience with lean manufacturing principles (5S, Standard Work, Kaizen, Flow Management, Process Maps, etc) Experience with creating reports in Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization programs Experience with reading and analyzing CAD models Experience with auditing and managing vendors and managing customers Experience with 8110.4c conformity inspections Experience with airborne satellite communications systems Equal Pay Disclosure(s)Base Pay :
