Packaging Development Engineer (UCOM)

Role Set Up:

This is an onsite role in

Bridgeport, CT Duration:

6 months with possibility of extension. Candidates needing work visa sponsorship (New or Transfer) need not apply.

Job Responsibilities:

Development of primary and secondary packaging for various products. Author packaging specifications for primary & secondary packaging Interact daily with the global Packaging group, and Supply Chain groups to ensure execution of projects Provide packaging options, develop, engineer, test packaging components and modify as necessary to meet: customer requirements, functional parameters, cost targets, manufacturing & shipping requirements.

Qualifications:

BS in Packaging Engineering or related field 3+ Years of experience in the packaging field (Food, Pharmaceutical, Consumer Products) Must be able to effectively organize and manage workflow of multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment. Must be able to work effectively with regional and/or global teams composed of individuals with technical and non-technical backgrounds & perspectives. Ability to travel 10-15% Basic technical competence in fabrication of plastic components: Injection molding & Blow molding. Pumps, Spray Heads and Bottle knowledge preferred.
