Job Description

In person in Wilmington DE Senior-level .NET Production Support / SRE-type Engineer supporting a high-volume, high-risk payments batch system (middleware, no UI). This is a mission-critical application with 24/7 operations, heavy SLA pressure, and strong need for incident management + communication skills. Key Differentiator (VERY
IMPORTANT
): Do NOT send pure .NET developers.
Manager wants someone with:
  • Production support / operational experience
  • Batch processing environments
  • Incident triage + recovery ownership
  • Strong communication (talking to leadership during outages) Must Have (Core Screening Focus)
  • 5+ years experience
  • C# / .NET (backend, NOT UI focused)
  • SQL Server (2019 preferred)
  • Production support / incident management
  • Batch processing systems (VERY
IMPORTANT
)
  • Windows Services / PowerShell scripting
  • High availability / SLA-driven environment experience
  • Strong communication (explaining issues to leadership) Good to Have
  • AWS (basic understanding is fine)
  • Terraform (nice to have only)
  • Control-M (scheduler)
  • WCF / SOAP / XML
    services
  • Financial services / payments experience
  • Middleware / backend systems (no UI) Role Reality (Pitch to Candidates)
  • 90 95% batch processing system
  • No UI work
  • High-risk payments system (high dollar, high visibility)
  • On-call rotation (once every ~7 8 weeks)
  • Occasional late night / weekend incidents
  • Long-term opportunity system being phased out but transition to new systems Interview Process Round 1: Zoom Round 2: In-person (mandatory final)
