Maximize plant production and the optimization of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) while guaranteeing that all products are manufactured within environmental and quality specifications. Be responsible for the Process Engineering side of the business and operations, which includes analysis, study, process troubleshooting, and process optimization. Work following the Mission, Vision, and Values of the company, lead by example. Initiate, develop, and implement plant improvement projects. Eliminate equipment restrictions. Implement projects/upgrades to improve Key Performance Indicators (KPI) performance. Commission Equipment and provide expertise and technical knowledge to plant personnel. Identify training requirements and execute training programs to reach standard level. Identify gaps on performance versus standards on equipment and personnel, creating actions. Create instructions, procedures, and standards, and ensure compliance of both Root Cause Analysis and Troubleshooting. Ensure performance and efficiency of equipment at or above rated operational capacities, minimizing operational cost. Perform mass and heat balances. Perform hydraulic calculations in industrial fans/ ductwork and gas handling. Perform equipment diagnostics. Validate plant instrumentation by a routine testing program. Automatic control system (PID) optimization. Specific Heat Consumption & Specific Power Consumption Optimization as well as Alternative Fuel & Fuel performance up to strategy. Follow up and improve performance of grinding media and refractory performance. Optimize environmental reagents while always complying with environmental limits. Take decisions and accountability to reach objectives. Conduct daily performance follow-ups. Maintain the data log including previous conclusions, action follow-ups, process flow charts & equipment information upkeep, and systems to look for information about process variables (PI) for Champions/Power Users. Action follow-up of all previously described activities. Must have a Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Industrial Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related Engineering field. Must have 3 years of experience as a Process Engineer or a related process engineering role. The 3 years of experience must include experience with: process optimization in the cement industry including quality, operation, and maintenance; Key Performance Indicators (KPI); process troubleshooting; equipment diagnostics and performance assessments; hydraulic calculations for industrial fans/ductwork/gas handling; mass and heat balance calculations; PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative) control optimization; heat consumption and power consumption optimization including alternative fuels; PI Datalink; data logging including performance tracking, follow-ups, process flow charts, and equipment information; root cause analysis; plant improvement projects; grinding media and refractory performance; cement plant operations and raw meal/cement production; Thermometer and Thermography Camera to measure temperature; Digital Pressure Meter and Analog Manometer to measure pressure; Anemometer and Pitot tube to measure flow; and Tachometer and Strobe portable stroboscope to measure speed.
