Repair Production Engineer Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 7:30am-3:30pm Bachelor's Degree Preferred Benefits Offered by Employer Employer will Conduct Background Check and Drug Screen Position Summary As a Repair Production Engineer at IAG Engine Center, this position supports the technical execution of component repair processes by applying engineering knowledge to production, repair development, process improvement, and airworthiness-related decision support. This role helps ensure repairs are performed safely, efficiently, consistently, and in alignment with applicable customer, regulatory, and quality requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Provide hands-on engineering support to daily repair production activities, helping troubleshoot technical issues and maintain steady workflow through assigned processes. Develop, review, and maintain routing instructions that support the controlled movement of material, parts, and documentation through IAG repair operations. Evaluate repair methods, production requirements, and process performance to identify opportunities that improve quality, reduce turnaround time, and support cost-effective operations. Track and interpret process performance indicators, using data to recommend corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives. Investigate equipment, tooling, material, or process concerns and support corrective actions that reduce variation, improve reliability, and strengthen production consistency. Review engineering data, technical publications, customer requirements, and internal capabilities to determine the steps needed to develop or implement new repair solutions. Support repair trials by assisting with planning, execution, data collection, analysis, and documentation needed to validate new or existing repair processes. Research equipment, tooling, and process investment needs, including cost-benefit justification for purchases that improve safety, capability, efficiency, or quality. Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, equipment suppliers, and material vendors to resolve production issues, support process improvements, and advance repair development projects. Provide engineering input and technical support to help inform airworthiness, repair approval, and compliance-related decisions. Stay current with aerospace repair technologies, manufacturing methods, materials, tooling, and industry best practices relevant to IAG operations. Follow all IAG safety practices and regulatory requirements, and promptly report unsafe conditions, hazards, or process concerns. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Bachelor's degree in mechanical, metallurgical, aerospace engineering, or a closely related technical discipline; 36 to 60 months equivalent relevant experience may be considered. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Strong planning, organization, analytical thinking, leadership, interpersonal, decision-making, and written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to manage technical projects, prioritize production needs, and follow through on corrective actions. Working knowledge of aerospace materials, component repair methods, manufacturing processes, tooling, and quality requirements. Ability to support compliance with applicable regulatory, customer, and internal quality standards. Experience in an aerospace repair station, MRO, manufacturing, or process engineering environment is preferred.
