Automotive Manufacturing Develop and improve manufacturing processes, workflows, and production methods Conduct time studies, labor studies, and labor utilization analysis Develop labor standards and support staffing and production planning Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to increase throughput Design and optimize plant layouts, workstations, equipment placement, and material flow Support equipment installations, line balancing, capacity planning, and facility expansion Lead Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement projects Identify opportunities to reduce labor, material, and equipment costs Analyze manufacturing data, KPIs, and operational metrics to improve productivity and efficiency Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, quality improvements, and process reliability Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, and Engineering teams Support new product launches, engineering changes, and manufacturing projects
Industrial Engineer Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline with 1+ years of experience ; OR Associate degree with 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience ; OR Master's degree in Engineering or related discipline with 3+ years of experience ; OR 5+ years of relevant Industrial Engineering experience in lieu of a degree Previous Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, or Continuous Improvement experience Experience with manufacturing process optimization and production support Experience conducting time studies and labor analysis Experience with capacity planning, labor balancing, and productivity improvement Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies Experience with facility or plant layout and material flow optimization Proficiency with CAD software and layout development Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills Automotive manufacturing experience is preferred Tier I automotive supplier experience is highly preferred Experience with Kaizen, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, or root cause analysis is preferred Experience with AutoCAD, Minitab, ERP systems, advanced Excel, or data analysis is preferred Experience supporting high-volume or highly automated manufacturing environments is preferred Why Zing?
