Job Description

MöllerTech South, LLC is a Tier 1 supplier of interior trim to the automotive industry. The company has more than doubled in size since 2010, employing close to 300 people, and new programs are under development promising more jobs and more equipment in the near future. Our location in Elberton, Georgia offers a more rural lifestyle, with many opportunities for fishing, hunting, golfing, and boating. All of the basic needs for groceries, dining, and services can be found locally, while a larger selection of shopping and entertainment options can be found in the nearby cities of Athens and Hartwell, GA, as well as Anderson, SC. We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to help strengthen our Quality Management System. The ideal candidate will have strengths in auditing to the IATF and VDA standards, writing procedures and work instructions, statistical and root cause analysis, and preparation of 8D responses through the customer portal. Qualifications:
Desired Education:
Bachelor's Degree and (5) years' experience in a Quality Role. Certified Lead Auditor in relevant QMS Standards including IATF16949 and VDA 6.3. Familiar with AIAG formats for Process Flows, PFMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP (ISIR) Submissions. Manufacturing background with Plastic Injection Molding experience preferred. German language beneficial (Company headquarters located in Germany). Work will be in a normal office environment. Candidate may be exposed to noise when working in production areas and while visiting customer or supplier locations as required. Ability to work weekends or during shutdown periods for inventory or other duties, as assigned by Management.
Requirements:
Maintain the Quality Management System. Participate in the Planning and Realization of Quality Department Objectives. Drive continuous improvements to reduce Cost of Poor Quality. Participate in group problem solving activities. Enter Required Quality Documentation in Customer Portal. Assist Quality Manager with department supervision and any other tasks as needed.
Skills and Knowledge:
Able to communicate effectively through reports, e-mails, and presentations. Familiar with all Customer Specific Requirements (CSR). Able to monitor key Customer Scorecards and identify actions for improvement. Skilled in 5s, Problem Solving, and Lean Manufacturing. Able to perform statistical analysis and MSA studies. Able to analyze trends in department objectives and identify actions for improvement.
