Job Description

In this pivotal role, you will take the lead in optimizing workflow efficiencies by identifying and resolving production bottlenecks. Employing lean methodologies, your primary goal will be to streamline operations, thereby enhancing overall productivity and reducing work in progress. A key aspect of your role will be to guide and mentor a team of operators and technicians, fostering their growth and enhancing performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Spearhead and execute lean initiatives such as 5S, visual management, and value stream mapping to eliminate waste and boost efficiency. Drive transformative cultural change by promoting continuous improvement and professional development among facility leadership. Optimize and standardize manufacturing processes, workflows, and facility layouts for improved operational flow. Oversee cross-functional improvement projects, ensuring timely delivery and achievement of cost-saving targets. Design and orchestrate strategic layouts for machinery and equipment, prioritizing safety and plant efficiency. Manage equipment capital expenditures with a focus on design, vendor selection, and successful implementation. Collaborate with leadership to craft a strategic roadmap for ongoing enhancement of operations and performance. Develop tools for capacity modeling and production planning, establishing robust time standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline. A minimum of five years of experience in industrial engineering. Expertise in data collection, root cause analysis, and problem-solving. Proven track record in applying throughput improvement techniques. In-depth knowledge of LEAN principles. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an aptitude for presentations. Self-driven with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and focus on critical objectives.
