Job Description
In this advanced role, you will enhance manufacturing efficiency and innovation by spearheading the optimization of casting processes. Collaborating closely with the manufacturing lead, your goal will be to identify areas of improvement within production operations and implement strategies to boost performance and reduce costs. A background in die casting and extensive industrial experience are essential. •
Key Responsibilities:
•Develop and refine manufacturing methodologies to improve output, safety, and quality. Facilitate cross-departmental cooperation to ensure seamless integration of new machinery and processes, maintaining adherence to schedules and financial constraints. Engage in problem-solving initiatives, leading root cause analyses and applying corrective and preventive measures. Analyze process performance data, identify trends, and propose innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency. Implement cost-reduction strategies while minimizing material waste and optimizing workflow. Provide expert support to resolve production issues, developing technical solutions and improvements. Mentor and upskill production staff on new technologies and procedures to facilitate successful process implementation. Stay informed about the latest technological advancements in industrial engineering and process optimization. Create and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including guidelines for equipment operation, tooling, and quality control. Coordinate with product development teams to ensure that design stages support manufacturing viability and quality goals. Oversee and manage essential tooling requirements, ensuring availability of necessary molds, dies, and fixtures for uninterrupted operations. Ensure all project milestones are achieved within scope, time, and budget constraints. •Required Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Previous experience in die casting is essential. Proven expertise in guiding product design to support manufacturability. Experience with tooling and fixtures in a manufacturing setting. Demonstrated success in managing projects from conception to completion.Similar remote jobs
