Position Overview:
As an Engineer, Materials IQC, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality of materials used in semiconductor manufacturing processes. You will inspect, verify, and monitor incoming materials to confirm they meet Micron specifications and quality standards. In this role, you will collaborate with engineering, procurement, and supplier teams to resolve quality issues, reduce risk, and support continuous improvement. Your work will directly impact product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and supplier performance. ## Responsibilities
  • Inspect and verify incoming materials using sampling, testing, and supplier documentation to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Maintain and improve inspection plans, procedures, and records in alignment with quality management systems and applicable standards.
  • Partner with engineering, procurement, IQC, and supplier teams to resolve non-conforming material issues and determine root cause.
  • Monitor incoming material quality and prevent contamination or defects that could impact manufacturing or product performance.
  • Lead Material Review Board (MRB) activities, including evaluation and disposition of non-conforming materials.
  • Analyze supplier data to establish and maintain statistical process control (SPC) metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and collaborate on corrective actions to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Support qualification of new materials or suppliers by assessing risk and ensuring readiness for manufacturing. ## Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years experience in semiconductor manufacturing AND Quality control.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver results with minimal direction.
  • Strong communication skills in spoken and written English.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). ## Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar enterprise systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Good understanding of Agentic AI or willingness to learn Agentic AI to help developed efficient workflow.
