Job Description

We're looking for a Supplier Quality Specialist to work closely with our Director of Quality and help keep our quality systems, supplier quality activities, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts moving forward. This is a hands-on role for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable following up and asking questions, and enjoys working across different areas of a small manufacturing company. You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of important quality processes while continuing to learn and grow within the Quality team. What You Will Be Doing Support the Director of Quality with day-to-day Quality Department activities, projects, documentation, and follow-up Coordinate supplier quality issues, including supplier nonconformances, corrective actions, containment, and resolution Issue and track Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs), following up with suppliers and helping ensure corrective actions are completed and effective Help monitor supplier performance by tracking quality, delivery, responsiveness, and other key metrics Identify supplier trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement Support supplier qualification and onboarding by reviewing certifications, capability information, quality documentation, and other required records Maintain supplier approvals, certifications, quality records, and related documentation within UniPoint Prepare, review, and coordinate PPAP documentation for customer and supplier requirements Assist with APQP and new product introduction activities as needed Work directly with suppliers to obtain quality and compliance documentation and resolve outstanding issues Respond to customer and supplier documentation requests, including Certificates of Conformance, RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals, and other compliance requirements Support supplier audits, assessments, and quality reviews by gathering documentation, tracking findings, and following up on action items Assist with customer RMAs, nonconformances, and investigations, particularly when supplier-related issues are involved Partner with Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, and Manufacturing to resolve quality concerns and keep issues moving toward resolution Review quality records and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with customer, ISO, and Prismier requirements Track quality data and help create reports and scorecards that identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities Help organize root cause and corrective action information and support problem-solving activities Maintain accurate and organized electronic quality records in Prismier's paperless environment Support internal and external audits and other Quality Management System activities as needed Look for opportunities to make our quality processes more efficient, organized, and effective Be a positive contributor to the Quality team and Prismier's culture Jump in and help with other Quality Department needs as they come up because, in a small company, we all wear more than one hat What You Bring Along Strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to quality Excellent organization and follow-through The ability to manage multiple priorities without losing sight of the details Strong written and verbal communication skills Confidence communicating and following up with suppliers, customers, and internal team members A problem-solving mindset and willingness to dig into an issue to understand what happened A strong sense of ownership and accountability Comfort working independently while also being part of a collaborative team The ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where priorities can change Curiosity and a willingness to learn new quality processes, systems, and manufacturing concepts A customer-focused mindset that aligns with Prismier's Core Values What We're Looking For Previous experience in manufacturing, quality, supplier quality, supply chain, purchasing, or a related environment preferred Experience working with quality documentation, records, or Quality Management Systems Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel Ability to organize, analyze, and communicate quality and supplier performance data Experience working with suppliers or coordinating supplier-related issues is a plus Experience with
ISO 9001
is preferred Experience with UniPoint or another Quality Management System is a plus Familiarity with PPAP and APQP processes is preferred Experience with nonconformances, corrective actions, SCARs, RMAs, or root cause analysis is a plus Familiarity with supplier scorecards, supplier audits, or supplier performance management is a plus Experience with RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals, Certificates of Conformance, or similar customer and regulatory documentation is a plus What we promise-We take care of our people: At Prismier, people are at the fore front of our success.
