Purpose of the Role The Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for driving continuous improvement in operating efficiency, waste reduction, and quality while developing and monitoring all aspects of product quality. This is a hands-on role supporting our manufacturing operations in Pocahontas, Arkansas (primary site), with regular support across locations including Shanghai, China and third-party supplier sites. The role requires a self-motivated, energetic leader who identifies improvement opportunities, implements solutions, and provides training to enhance plant processes. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a multi-site quality strategy aligned with divisional and segment objectives. Serve as the primary liaison for regulatory agencies and key customers on quality matters. Operate with high autonomy, reporting to the Director of Operations to drive local results while aligning with local management. Responsible for the calibration system. Implement robust quality metrics and reporting systems across sites. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using the
ITW 80/20
toolbox. Lead and participate in continuous improvement (USa activities) to drive improvements through the facility. Oversee supplier quality programs and ensure raw material compliance. Perform duties to provide metallurgical test and analysis including raw material for manufactured or purchased product through use of random sampling techniques. Work from prints, specifications, tables, written and verbal instructions. Mentor site Quality leaders and teams Provide training and development programs for quality. Partner with Marketing, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sourcing to ensure quality integration throughout product lifecycle. Support Customer Back Innovation (CBI)s with quality validation and risk assessments. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field At least 3 years of experience in continuous improvement within manufacturing Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of production processes Working knowledge of measurement tools and testing equipment Basic statistical knowledge (SPC, Cp/Cpk, standard deviation, etc.) Strong written/verbal communication and analytical skills Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities Hands-on, self-driven, and detail-oriented Proficient in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools Regular travel (approximately 25%) is required, including domestic plant and supplier visits and periodic international trips (1 or 2x annually) to China support global quality initiatives. Compensation Information:
Annual base salary range for this position is $102,000 - $127,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Company considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
