Supplier Quality Engineer Location :

Columbus, IN Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to support automotive supplier quality, product development, and manufacturing processes. The role will be responsible for ensuring suppliers meet quality, reliability, and customer requirements while driving continuous improvement and corrective actions. Key Responsibilities Manage supplier quality activities from APQP through production launch and ongoing production . Review and approve PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, and capability studies . Conduct supplier audits, process assessments, and quality reviews. Identify and resolve supplier quality issues using 8D, Root Cause Analysis, 5-Why, and Fishbone methodologies. Monitor supplier performance, including PPM, defects, corrective actions, and delivery quality . Support new product launches, process changes, and supplier development activities. Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and suppliers to implement effective corrective and preventive actions. Ensure compliance with

IATF 16949, ISO

9001, customer-specific requirements, and automotive quality standards . Drive continuous improvement and defect-prevention initiatives across the supplier base. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Automotive Engineering , or related field. 3+ years of experience in Supplier Quality or Automotive Quality Engineering. Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, and 8D . Experience with supplier audits and manufacturing processes. Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Automotive OEM/Tier-1 or Tier-2 supplier experience preferred.
