Job Description
Our client, a Medical Devices/Healthcare company, is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer I for their Warsaw, IN location.
Responsibilities:
Assists with the training and implementation process for deploying six sigma, problem solving, SPC/ process control, and quality tools at Client supplier partners. This position will be responsible for assisting with initial gap assessments to contribute to individual supplier development plans and will be responsible for the implementation of quality, six-sigma, process control, and training projects. This position will also be responsible for tracking multiple projects and working with the remainder of the supplier development team to coordinate their time at the suppliers.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
40%
Six-sigma, problem solving, SPC/process control, and Quality projects at supplier 20
• Assisting with initial gap assessments and contributing to individual development plans for each supplier 15
Refining training material used to deploy the supplier development philosophy 15
Monitor supplier progress against pre-agreed objectives and goals 10
Coaching and mentoring suppliers on six sigma, lean, and quality tools 100
Total Percent (not to exceed 100%)
Individual percents should be greater than or equal to 5%.
Requirements:
Demonstrates a fundamental base in statistics, SPC, and process control methodologies
Demonstrates fundamental problem solving skills through the use of quality and statistical tools
Demonstrates a fundamental base in Quality tools such as control plans, risk analysis, gage calibration and gage studies, advanced quality planning, and process validation.
Must possess effective facilitator, instructor, and mentoring skills
Has a previous experience in conducting QMS or POS audits
Has a working knowledge of lean philosophies, production processes, and effective change control
Must have demonstrated a history of strong performance, including leadership abilities, and excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills
BS in Engineering or Science / Technical field.
3-5 years experience in Product Quality/Supplier Quality
Certified six Sigma or Lean Green Belt minimum
