Job Description

SUMMARY:
As part of a leading global aerospace distributor, this position is responsible for the development of quality strategy and programs. Responsibilities include designing quality standards, inspecting materials, equipment, processes, and products, developing quality control systems, and determining corrective actions. You will also work with managers and supervisors to implement quality measures. A successful Quality Engineer should have excellent troubleshooting skills and be able to ensure that processes and products consistently meet established quality standards.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Developing and implementing quality standards Developing and implementing quality control systems Creation of quality documentation Maintaining accurate quality documentation Monitoring and analyzing quality performance Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met Collaborating with other department managers to develop and implement controls and improvements Ensuring that workflows, processes, and products comply with company quality and safety policies Investigating and troubleshooting product or process issues Developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements Working closely with external partners, i.e. suppliers, customers, etc. Other duties assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree 6-7 years of relevant/technical work experience OR An additional 3 years of specific work experience in lieu of degree. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and scheduling applications Excellent verbal and written communication Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Data analysis and statistical aptitude Excellent project management skills
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Master's degree in quality, engineering 8+ years of quality and compliance work experience 3+ years of experience in the Aviation industry
