Engineer Co-Op Job Description Position Title:
Engineering Intern Mission:
Gain hands-on experience in process engineering by supporting machining and assembly operations, while contributing to productivity, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Assist with improving current manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality, and safety while supporting customer needs. Document process improvements, communicate updates, and support training initiatives. Analyze best practices, participate in problem-solving activities, and help develop optimized manufacturing processes to achieve plant goals. Contribute to process control systems, project documentation, standard work instructions, and equipment/tooling initiatives. Partner with the process engineering team on productivity improvement projects and special assignments. Support engineering change processes including quoting, implementation, launch, and shop-floor support. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams on customer corrective actions. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to meet department needs. Academic & Experience Requirements Currently enrolled in a bachelor's program in Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing Engineering. Must be in junior year or earlier with at least one year remaining before graduation. Students must be able to commit to a long-term internship (minimum 12 months) Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Familiarity with AutoCAD, PFMEA, Lean Manufacturing principles, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Working Hours Preferred hours:
7:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Flexible to align with student schedules) Minimum 25 hours/week, up to 40 hours/week.
