We are currently seeking a Process Engineer for our Amesbury, MA location. The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations: Analyze and interpret various plastic/rubber material manufacturing techniques, procedures and processing conditions. Evaluate processing conditions and resultant material properties and troubleshoot as necessary. Assume full responsibility for managing process conditions to meet Process Control Document requirements and mechanical and physical properties Troubleshoot manufacturing process problems and implement corrective measures. Evaluate and provide costing support for new and existing products. Create/manage bills of materials and process plans for multiple resin manufacturing processes to support operations. Develop and implement processing conditions. Provide training as necessary to operations personnel. Develop and execute continuous improvement plans and processes. Write and maintain detailed procedures and specifications.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's of Science degree in any of the following: Plastics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or Polymer Chemistry. 1-3 years of industry experience in a manufacturing or product development environment Ability to evaluate, develop and manage process parameters in the manufacture of products. High attention to detail. Must be able to obtain a DOD security clearance. Current computer literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Desired Qualifications Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Motivated self-starter Experience in Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma continuous improvement programs. Green belt certification is a plus. Knowledge of CAD; Solid Works, Solid Edge, Master Cam. An understanding of dielectric and magnetic properties of materials. Complete salary range for this role: $68,665 - $117,700 This position is restricted to U.S. citizens due to U.S. federal government contracts that require the employment of only persons who are U.S. citizens.
