The Supplier Quality Engineer plays a key role in ensuring supplier performance meets company and customer expectations. This position partners closely with the purchasing team and plant operations to drive supplier quality, resolve issues, and maintain compliance with industry standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure all Supplier PPAP requirements are completed accurately and on time to support customer submissions Monitor and report supplier quality performance, including corrective actions and improvements Conduct new supplier qualification audits and ongoing supplier surveillance audits Lead on-site problem-solving activities at supplier locations as needed Maintain and support corporate supplier quality systems and processes Manage conflict minerals reporting and compliance activities Maintain and update IMDS database for purchased materials Collaborate cross-functionally with purchasing, engineering, and manufacturing teams
Qualifications:
Strong understanding of PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) Experience working within
IATF 16949
