Packaging Engineer 3#26-17299 $40.87-$44.64 per hour Burton, MI Onsite Job Description Our Client, an Automotive company, is looking for a Packaging Engineer 3 for their Burton, MI location.

Responsibilities:

Perform projects to reduce packaging material, processing, distribution, and damage costs. Resolve complex product and packaging issues. Develop and apply graphic design elements and product. Identification standards for packaging materials. Coordinate packaging requirements with plants, other departments, sources, and customers. Stay current on new technology and new developments. Apply high quality network/synchronous organization and lean strategies to achieve process improvement and promote teamwork.

Requirements:

Expert knowledge of Testing, Design, Packaging processes. Knowledge in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge with Lotus Notes or other email communication tools. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work well with a team. Ability to partner with senior management to analyze and solve issues. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to create blueprints and technical drawings. Bachelor's Degree in Packaging or other related technical area. 5-7 years of experience required. Packaging Science Degree (Preferred)
