Universal Logistics Holdings is a leading provider of customized transportation and logistics solutions. We help customers manage and scale their supply chains through a full range of services, including transportation, intermodal, and value-added logistics. Our team partners closely with customers to deliver efficient, practical solutions that support real-world operations. As an Industrial Engineer , you'll play a key role in designing and improving processes that directly impact our customers' operations. This role focuses on our value-added and contract logistics business, primarily supporting warehouse, manufacturing, and distribution environments. You'll work on everything from building layouts and material flow to analyzing data and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on role where you'll have the chance to solve real problems, work closely with operations, and see the direct impact of your work. What You'll Do Develop and improve operational processes and workflows Analyze data to identify opportunities for efficiency and cost savings Design facility layouts, storage solutions, and material flow Support launch activity and implementation of operational changes Conduct time studies and drive productivity improvements Apply lean principles and continuous improvement strategies Present findings and recommendations to internal teams and customers What You Bring Degree in Industrial Engineering 0-5 years of experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment (preferred) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate effectively across teams Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities Technical Skills Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design tools Experience with work measurement methods (M.O.S.T., MODAPTS) is a plus Exposure to simulation tools or Excel macros is a plus
