$75,000-$95,000 annually
POSITION SUMMARY
The Supplier Quality Engineer ensures suppliers provide products and services that meet Enstrom Helicopter Corporation's quality standards, regulatory requirements, and production needs. This role supports supplier quality, production quality, and continuous improvement by evaluating supplier performance, managing nonconformances and corrective actions, conducting audits, and collaborating with internal teams and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supplier Quality & Compliance Evaluate and approve supplier quality systems, processes, and products. Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. Review supplier nonconformances and oversee corrective actions. Monitor supplier performance and drive improvements in quality and reliability. Ensure supplier quality activities align with company and regulatory requirements. Audits & Continuous Improvement Lead supplier audits and follow-up activities. Perform root cause analysis and resolve supplier quality issues. Verify effectiveness of corrective actions. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to supplier performance and quality systems. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Engineering, Procurement, Production, and Quality to resolve supplier issues. Communicate supplier quality concerns with internal teams and suppliers. Support production by ensuring supplied products meet specifications. Documentation & Reporting Maintain supplier quality records, audit documentation, and corrective action files. Track supplier quality metrics to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities. General Responsibilities Follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Quality, or related field. Experience 3+ years of supplier quality engineering or related experience. Experience with supplier audits, corrective actions, and quality management systems. Manufacturing, aerospace, or other technical industry experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of
ISO 9001
(AS9100 preferred), supplier quality systems, and manufacturing processes. Proficiency in auditing, root cause analysis, SPC, and quality improvement tools. Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T. Strong communication, organization, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage documentation, metrics, and supplier relationships. FAA regulatory knowledge preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. Frequent bending, reaching, and manual dexterity. Adequate vision to review documents and inspection data. Ability to wear required PPE in production and supplier facilities.
