Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM Role Summary We are looking for a practical Process Engineer to contribute to our expanding manufacturing facility for a 6-month term. High-performing individuals will have the chance to secure a permanent spot on our staff. Your primary focus will be to enhance production workflows, provide operational support, and spearhead initiatives for ongoing improvement. We need a professional who values being present on the production floor, collaborating with our teams, and converting technical concepts into tangible manufacturing results. Core Duties Evaluate and refine production workflows to boost overall output, quality, and efficiency. Spearhead optimization initiatives by leveraging Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to improve team performance. Utilize data-driven insights and Design of Experiments (DOE) to execute process enhancements. Design manufacturing documentation, tooling concepts, and engineering schematics. Assist production staff by resolving technical challenges and process-related obstacles to ensure smooth operations. Facilitate collaboration and project alignment between the Quality, Maintenance, Production, and Engineering teams. Draft and manage essential process standards, work instructions, and technical documentation. Deliver expert technical guidance during the rollout of new equipment and process upgrades. Maintain a consistent presence on the shop floor to foster a culture of process ownership and continuous improvement. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Plastics Engineering, or a closely related field. Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher, with hands-on application of Design of Experiments (DOE). Deep technical knowledge of cooling rates, thermodynamics, heat transfer, material shrinkage, and internal stress factors. Proficiency in Autodesk software, specifically Inventor and AutoCAD. Capability to produce precise engineering drawings for manufacturing use and machine shop fabrication. Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate effective communication across various organizational departments. Practical mechanical skills with a proven track record of developing fixtures, tooling, and manufacturing solutions. Background in the development and upkeep of technical manufacturing documentation.
